LOOKING PAST MY PAIN

I am more than my PAIN

I need to remind myself of that because sometimes it's all I can think about. Being in pain 24/7/365 will do that to a person.

So yes, while I will write about my ongoing health issues here, both as a form of therapy and as a way to hopefully inform and inspire those in a similar situation, there is more to this feisty forty-something female than a body that’s been compared to that of a ninety-something nana.

I’m a kick-ass photographer and an amateur watercolor painter. I can play celebrity connect-the-dots with the best of ‘em.  I’ve become politically aware, if unsettled, love music, reading, and good TV.  All four shows that qualify, that is.

Playing in the dirt is a passion.
Planting something, watching it grow, and b
loom is a simple pleasure.

I can’t stand sports, but I work part-time for an online sports radio station.
Go figure.

I could go on and on, but you get the idea.  I’m interested in so much stuff, I’d have a hard time keeping up with myself, even if I didn’t spend most of my time in so much pain I can hardly move.

So, yes, it comes back to the pain again, and it will often in the writings to come.  For although I am more than my pain, it accompanies me like a shadow on an otherwise sunny day. I've learned to live with it, if not exactly accept it.

I am more than my pain, but as you’ll discover, it has helped make me the strong, stubborn, sassy woman I am today.

I am the other half to my “Split Apart” Merle, who is my best friend, my constant companion and my Sweet Snookems.

I am also the devoted Mommie to two furry fluff balls;
Renata Bug and Frank Lynn Mint who will soon have their own blog. Launch date to be announced!
